Marc Robinson has had a "checkered" career: attorney; information architect; creative director at a NYC agency; author of many personal finance books and creator of many personal finance websites; author/producer of The WSJ's 100th anniversary coffee table book and NBC's 75th anniversary coffee table book; author of a children's book; 401(k) consultant to employers; and founder of a fintech startup.

Fascinated by 3D design and printing, he had the idea a few years ago to make a 3D paw clip. But it wasn't until he realized he could raise money and awareness for rescue and adoption that he thought of it as a business. 

So Clips for A Cause began. It's a for-profit business that exists in order to support a cause — not in addition to supporting a cause.
